1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account information: Name, email address, and authentication data.
• Profile information: Resume content, education history, skills, and work experience.
• Application data: Jobs you save, apply to, or track.
• AI interaction data: Prompts and content you submit for AI-assisted features.
• Usage data: How you interact with our Service, search queries, and feature usage.

2. AI and Third-Party Processing

Our Service utilizes advanced AI to help match your profile with jobs and generate application materials. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Your profile data (including resume text) and job descriptions are shared with third-party AI providers (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) for real-time processing.
• We do not control the internal data retention policies of these providers, though we use enterprise-grade APIs which typically prohibit using your data to train their models.
• We use Clerk for secure authentication and Stripe for encrypted payment processing. Your financial details never touch our servers.
• Analytics (PostHog). We use PostHog, Inc. to understand how people use the Service (for example, pages viewed, features used, and searches run) so we can fix problems and improve it. PostHog processes this usage data on our behalf and stores it in the United States. We link analytics to your account ID, not your name or email, and we do not send your resume or application text to PostHog.
• AI routing (OpenRouter). AI features are routed through OpenRouter, Inc., which forwards your request (such as job descriptions and, if you choose, resume or application text) to the AI model provider that generates the response. We configure OpenRouter to use only endpoints that do not train on your prompts.
• While we prioritize security, we cannot guarantee the absolute privacy of data once transmitted to third-party providers.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in (Clerk), process payments (Stripe), and measure usage of the Service (PostHog). We do not use advertising cookies or sell or share your personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out of analytics at any time by emailing us at the address in the Contact section below. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, we turn off analytics. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features (like staying signed in) may not work without them.

4. Data Source Attribution

We aggregate internship data from various public and community sources (including Simplify, Zapply, and Jobright). We do not claim ownership of this external data and provide it "as-is" for your convenience. Links to original sources are provided where possible.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and secure authentication through Clerk.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
